Abstract

The present work approaches an analysis of the researches carried out and published in music by students, professors / researchers in Roraima - Brazil. Roraima is one of the youngest states in Brazil and is made up of immigrants from all regions of Brazilian and indigenous communities. Its cultural miscegenation makes it unique with a people that speaks and makes European music, Brazilian music, maintains the indigenous traditions and has contact with Venezuelan cultures. The objective of this essay is to indicate the areas of the predominant musical studies in the investigations carried out in the State, the main works, besides the concerns and spaces for the development of future investigations in music in Roraima.
