Abstract

Reports researchin dance Drum, developed beginning in 1999 with a field of study located in Casa Fanti-Ashanti in São Luís / Maranhão and currently developing participatory research in the Casa Fé em Deus. Emphasizes the spectacle of dance in religion Mina, from symbolic gestures, and movements present in the choreographic design, transmission of beliefs and identity of symbolic production, mobilization, socio-cultural and festive behavior within the religion of African of Maranhão.
