Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to address the performance teachings of the Argentine master Norman Briski. Some guidelines will be presented about his way of see and teach acting, in order to be able to locate him comparatively in the theatrical studies on the different specific methodologies of acting. There will be planned a tour that begins with Briski's incidents regarding his formation and theatrical practice, to expose how those chosen ways come together in his construction of the I Actor and influence his practices as a teacher. For this we will analyze comparatively the main exponents of the methodologies with which Briski dialogued in his training, and thus evidence how to modify those procedures and techniques learned according to his particular point of view about the work of the actor/actress.
