Approaches towards the specificity of biodrama acting: The case of Proyecto Archivos by Vivi Tellas (2003 - 2012)

The objective of this paper is to make a characterization of the theatrical phenomenon known as biodrama to account for the development of the performance in the cycle called Proyecto Archivos, composed of works directed by the artist Vivi Tellas. Through the delimitation of a panorama of the work of Tellas, prior to the creation of the biodrama, and a description of the evolution of the latter as an aesthetic and curatorial project, we will try to account for a specific methodology of performance, present in the corpus of works addressed, which is possible to transfer other artists and scenic events framed in the so-called documentary theater. The choise of these works lies in the possibility of finding homogeneous stage and act procedures, given that they are all directed by Vivi Tellas.
