Abstract

This review aims at presenting a viewpoint of the concept of ductus applied to teaching and learning of drawing. Ductus can be understood as an element that synthesises learning and idiosyncrasy in the act of drawing. Although knowledge is transmitted to the group, knowledge is incorporate within oneself, it is made subjective or personal. Thus, the ideas of uniqueness and collective emerge. It is through significant learning experiences that the student builds knowledge and ability to apply it. Ductus applied in the teaching of drawing highlights the importance of the teacher’s role in the student's learning path.
