Abstract

This article deals with the relationship between a personal and professional development process held by an active music making and a music therapy process. First we describe the elements that constitute this field of interaction: music-making, music therapy (in particular the Music-centered Music Therapy) and Experiential Education applied to the business context. Then we present the study methodology and the workshops description which were the musical activity main body. The results were collected from the participants reports. We found indications that in this context music making can improve self-perception, social skills, stress relief, and help especially to expand human and musical capabilities, becoming an activity related to music therapy.
