Abstract

This paper describes the empirical process of a study (2005), whose objective inhabits in the gauging of the impact of the theater, in the development of the pupil with mental deficiency (MD) in a public school context. The studied areas are the learning, the inter subject study, the civic values, the self-esteem, the self-concept, the creativity and the inclusion, in normalizing contexts. The methods that we used consist of the direct observation and the non structured interview, directed to teachers, other professionals of the area of the MD, people engaged in the education field, pupils with and without MD, psychologists and an actor.
